Baby Update and Flowers

Last Thursday we went to Liam’s first week post-op appointment expecting a victory in the X-rays. We were sadly disappointed. The bone had slipped out of place because of his chubby little legs made it hard for the cast to keep the bone from moving and it looked just like it did when it first broke. We felt crushed and defeated and down right bitter. We were told that Liam would have to go back under and have the bone re-set that day. So we settled back into a long day at the hospital and tried to help Liam go through that horrible experience all over again. The re-set went well, and this past week we have settled back into our routine and loving on our precious son. Tomorrow is his post-op appointment for the second re-set and we are having a hard time staying positive.

But, it all comes back to trusting God. Man, it’s hard. Really hard. So, we are praying.

I love this picture of my wonderful hubby and sweet, precious boy. Jerad has been the most incredible husband and father through this. Taking upon his shoulders so much of the responsibility and making sure Liam and I are always taken care of. Blessed, so blessed to have him in my life.

On a cheerful note, Pick Your Plum today had these beautiful little flowers and since it was so rainy and dreary over here, I decided that I deserved a treat. I ordered a couple sets and for the first time in weeks, I have felt crafty!
