Hey there, Stranger!

Hello there!

I know it’s been awhile since I’ve been on here (like, since last December) but life happens, and adventures happened and well honestly, blogging wasn’t a huge priority! #sorrynotsorry

We’ve entered a new stage of life in the Hill home and it’s providing a “bunch” of extra time on my hands: 3 days a week all the Hill babies are in school! WHAT?! (insert all the feels here)

I think I’m still processing what this means for me, and not as a mom or a wife but as A WOMAN! (Oh hey there person in the mirror, it’s been awhile!) Now, I’m not just wandering my house staring in a mirror all morning, but I also haven’t found the right scheduling fit for the responsible side of me.  I’m currently just enjoying the little bit of free time I’ve been given!  I’ve been bustin a move, kickin’ back and doing a little bit of fun shopping…..I told Jerad I’ll soon be cracking down and getting some stuff done, but he hasn’t seemed to mind! Good man he is.

But can we just take a moment and stare lovingly at my once little babes and now seemingly miniature adults.

Liam started 2nd Grade, Emerson started Preschool and Cohen is in Kindergarten now!

Now, I’m fully aware that they really are still babies, no matter how many times Emmy tells me, “MOM I’m a BIG girl now GOSH!”

When they were still tiny humans fully dependent on me for everything, I was always stopped by well meaning women in the store to tell me “to enjoy it while it lasts, because they grow up so fast!”  I couldn’t see past the next crazy moment of caring for 3 under 3, and told Jerad I was going to punch the next person who told me that.

Fast forward a few years, and the other day in the store, not realizing what I was doing, I stopped a young mom holding a baby and told her, “Oh my gosh they grow up so fast! Enjoy those baby cuddles!”

Full circle people.  Full circle.

I get it now.  Sorry to all the people I may have been rude to in my tired and crazed state.  You were right.
