Pen, Paper and a Stamp…

Gone are those days. The days when you wandered around picking out just the right stationary to inspire you, sitting down and taking an actual pen and wrote a friend a letter; and then licking the paste tasting stamp and placing that carefully penned note of love in that strange box that sits in front of your house collecting bird poop…yes, its a mailbox.
We are in the middle of a generation, a society, where our electronic devices will soon take over the world. Everything from our schedules and contacts, to our email and our very will to live seem to be tied up in these absolutely convient pocket size inventions! Now, don’t get me wrong, I love my smart phone, and if I lost it, I myself would be lost. But what I’m trying to share is that I dearly miss the act of sending and receiving letters via the postal service.
So I going to bring it back amongst my friends and family. This post is for all the thank you cards, love notes, cards of encouragement and simply stationaries for hellos that have gone unsent.
I challenge you now to get up, think of someone you love, and send them a note of appreciation. Then seal it, stamp it and send it on its way!
